Thank you all so very much. Thank's for the advice too. I will be sure to try then all. I have already been using vicks but havn't try it on my feet. I just got thinking. This is my first cold as a non smoker. That i can remember anyway.
I was thinking last nite, Do any of you remember those candy cigs. we use to buy as kid ? They look like the real thing. If you count them i probaly been a smoker since i was 3. Lol

Hi Mary, I'm dealing with the cold thing too. I am so glad to see you have made the first month. Hope you and your grdandchild feel better soon. There was an e-mail going around about putting vic's salve on the bottom of your feet to stop a cough. I don't know if it works but it couldn't hurt.

Mary,
Congratulations on your first month!
Sorry to hear you're sick, we hope you & your granddaughter feel better soon :)
Sitting up at a 45 degree angle can help subdue the coughing at night.

Hey, Mary,
I had a bad sinus and lung infection for about 5 weeks and had to take two courses of anti-biotics to get rid of it...
I understand the "crackling" chest noises... what I did during the worst of it was to fix up a wedge of pillows behind me at about 30 degrees elevation and slept soundly propped up like that... no more crackling...doesn't help if you're a tosser-and-turner...
Congratulations on quitting for so long so far...

Hi all
Mary here. Starting to feel some better. I caught a really bad cold from my grandaughter. Everytime i would lay down all i hear is crackling in my lungs. ( Well at least they are still there) Lol
I have anitbotics to take. so i hope things get better soon. My grandaughter has been cough for about a month. I took here in. There is really nothing they can do. But let it work its way out.
Hope all is well with everyone & welcome to all newbies.
