It's been some months since I dropped by here although I keep meaning to. You know what they say about good intentions. :) Anyway, I just wanted to drop in to say thanks to everyone who was so encouraging and supportive during my time of need. I've just passed my 5 month anniversary and although I can't say it's been easy, it has been rewarding - partly in that I used some of the money I'd saved to buy a boat to play on this summer.
I can't say there have been no cravings, because there have. I know that if I let myself think about it, I can just taste how wonderful a smoke would be with my next coffee or cold beer. Even though there have been temptations, there have been no slips and I can only be grateful for that and be aware that I can't let my guard down.
Again, thanks to everyone who had a hand in keeping me propped up and to all of you that have recently quit or who are contemplating it, best of luck - you can acheive your goal with determination and support.
