another great post, stickin For some reason I've been gravitating to these "WARNING! DON'T THINK YOU CAN EVEN SMOKE ONE!" posts. I haven't even thought that, but these warnings will stay in my subconscious should I ever start to try to fool myself Thanks -aloha My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 71 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,840 Amount Saved: $482.80 Life Gained: Days: 9 Hrs: 23 Mins: 48 Seconds: 9

Aint that right..... smokers are outcasts !... especially in the country i live & you better believe it that it's only gonna get worse. When that 'i want a cigarette' thought pops in your head get rid of it as quick as you can, keep working at it. The poor old smokers days are numbered & they know it, The truth is that Tobacco giants are increasing the nicotine level in cigarettes as we speak to get new & used smokers more addicted. They are fighting a wave of anti-tobacco slogging & it's only just started. The sooner we all stop smoking the better. Real Dangers of Restarting I think we realize early on we have to be very motivated and persistent in order to remain smoke free. We pack that determination and bring it along with us on the journey. We know the first few weeks are dramatic however we continue to dive deep and find the needed courage. We find a way using our distractions and thinking about the consequences of returning to the smoker life. Yesterday I heard that smoking was going to be ban in some or all outside dining areas in Los Angeles restaurants. I use to think that smoking outside while dining was just fine, did not realize that others could smell it, really. I never thought to think that it could affect others. There are many good reasons not to smoke and it keeps getting harder and harder to find acceptable places to light up. Have you ever traveled on an airplane for a few hours without lighting up? The pain pretty excruciating wasnt it! And you do understand that if you dont smoke for a while, smoking doesnt come to mind much and if it does, it can be as easy as a fleeing thought. Some of the real dangers of restarting comes when people think they can have one especially since they have be so very good for such a long, long time and they know that they have tamed the tiger. You heard of and know of those who have taken this miss-step. I suggest that you put the thought in the trash can where it belongs. Never imagine smoking, you are inviting misfortune. If you want to be smoke free, it is a good life, one without the attachments, the baggage; one filled with freedom more choice, more time, and self confidence. Most importantly you have done something for yourself, something that you have always wanted to do and now you have gone and done it. Imagine this, live this and believe this. Have a good day Stickin To It My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/22/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 495 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 8,910 Amount Saved: $2,722.50 Life Gained: Days: 90 Hrs: 7 Mins: 38 Seconds: 22
