My planned reward for a smoke-free month will be a gym subscription.
I have really missed exercising, but smoking doesn't really allow great physical effort.. I hope I'll get addicted to exercising for a change!!
It is amazing how the benefits already show.. I can see the difference myself when I go swimming! I used to be all worn out just after 30min in the water, but now I can last much longer!

That's great Sparky.  I love the hill thing; one doesn’t need to walk real fast uphill to realize strong benefits, healthy breathing, fatigue yet energy later.

What might we do physically, mentally and socially to make us happy; help us to diminish those nasty craves and increase our chances of success?  What else guys and dolls?  Make the craves go away!

Making it up the proverbial steep hill!!  Congratulations on your quit!  It's funny how the benefits of quitting are soooo noticeable.  Yet we get ourselves lured back in - for whatever reason.  This is my 3rd or 4th quit.  My first was for over 1 yr.  Still can't believe I didn't hang on to that one!

We'll get it right this time!

Last week I posted what my slip/relapse cost me.  Well my friends I know it has only a couple days.  Last Saturday I went for my 3 mile walk.  This walk has several hills and when I am not smoking it is no big deal.  Well Saturday after making it up the first steep hill was so out of breath and legs hurt   I thought OMG I have only been smoking for two weeks and the damage is already appearing.  Tonight I went for that same walk, a piece of cake.  I can only image what and how my life would be if I had continue to smoke.  I have only been smoke free 2 1/2 days and already seeing the benefits again and that is a good thing.  I am so grateful I got back as soon as I did.  I want more smoke free days .  I am also grateful for all the smoke free days before this slip, because I know I was getting very healthy and this time I can reverse some of the damage more quickly (hope that makes sense.)

So if some of you think you want to try it again DON'T and if some of you have and waiting to come back we are here waiting for you.

Keep the Quit
Sparky
