Well, I haven't been responding or posting as much, so I like to do a general update every so often. I am on 60 something days, and yesterday was my first birthday in quite some time that was SMOKE free. Weight wise, I seem to be at a plateau but it will pick up (or, go down, lol) again. To be honest, the scale said I was up a pound but I have been eating well, and I feel thinner so Api is rolling with it.
Now, what was my reward for 60 days and birthday? I did a split fries/onion rings from Johnny Rockets. Every bite of grease was absolutely fantastic. To quote Oscar Wilde, "The strangest of all perversions is abstinence". So, it was a good break.
On the job front, my 30 days of make money or DIE was extended, indefinitely, so the sword of Damocles is still there, but raised a little. In this economy we all are feeling it! The teaching thing I am working on--- Well,no one knows because of the NYC School budget if anyone is going to get in! So, we will see, we will see.
My Music Lyrics of Inspiration today, I think we will take from Phish. Sometimes we all feel like laughing, laughing, fall apart.
Sparkle
The pressure builds, you buy a gift
You're hoping that your dread will lift
It glitters on her like a glass
You shudder as it comes to pass
Apologize to Luce and Lil'
Converse with Ed, a drive with Jill
Your friends confine you in their worlds
One by one, a string of pearls
Confused you say, this isn't me
You hover in their unity
Ashamed, you slowly lose your grasp
Release the links, undo the clasp
The skin that drips down off the tree
And peels back slowly from your knee
Erupts into your lung and heart
You laugh and laughing, fall apart
Laugh and laughing, fall apart(x28)
Laugh and Laughing fall apart(x14)
