Miss Marple: It's true; we are real addicts of a legal drug! . Without it we were unable to perform our daily activities. We atributted nicotine so many qualities: good for relaxing and energizing, good when laughing and good when crying; good when bored and good when busy; good when angry and good when happy!
I think we were hooked to an ilussion; nicotine just was filling a void in our innerself.
Hey CT I love the megabug!!!!

That's drug withdrawals.  Nicotine is a drug and many of the withdrawal symptoms are similar to other drugs. I've spent many hours across the table from drug addicts jonesing for a fix.  They are constantly fidgeting, scratching and rubbing their faces and heads, bouncing their legs and sometimes claw at their arms.  Three months ago I was talking to a (street-wise) fellow who asked me what I was on!!!  I was offended at first, but realized later when I reviewed the video that he and I both were about to have a severe meltdown!!!  Mine was nicotine and his was cocaine.
I have spent many hours with recovered addicts as well.  They always tell me the same thing...the ______________ (fill in the blank), was a lot easier to give up than cigarettes!
I am so proud of ALL of us!  This is quite a feat!

I had the same feeling Karren. It felt as if I had bugs crawling under my scalp and face. I think it lasted for about 2 months..not sure.

I had something similar in my scalp apparently its the blood returning and being able to circulate better-my scalp prickled and felt like something was crawling under it. I also had some gum problems due to poor blood flow and my dentist told me yesterday my teeth were in great shape, firm, and all signs of gum disease gone- yay another positive for not smoking!

Hi Caligirl,

You may be right about a circulation issue with the "pins and needles" feeling in your hands. If it persists you may want to get it checked out. It may also be related to a nutritional deficiency.

Members............have you experienced this symptom? How did it resolve?

I notice that my hands go to sleep real easy and more often now.  Kind of like that tingly feeling from your funny bone.  Has anyone experienced this?  I'm sure it has something to do with circulation.
