look at that , henny penny just hit 1 year ! that is fantastic , job well done.
well i just have to say thank you to each and everyone of you for this honor. i never came here for honors , i only wanted to quit the terrible habit of smoking cigarettes. quitting smoking can be such a gut wrenching lifestyle change , but this place made it bearable , in fact because of all of our relationships here , it has been tough but fun.
when i was first here i would see folks with 2 weeks and think "i'll never get there" , then 2 months and think "i'll never get there.but i did , and then i would see 6 months and 9 and 1 year and so on and so on.
it was your support that kept me from smoking . that , cold water , carrots and whole lot of prayer to the lord for strength to quit.
the key was "N.OP.E.". i really believe that if i had taken just one little puff , i would be back to smoking 1 1/2 packs a day , and would miss the great pleasure of your friendship.
thank you all for helping me , if in any little way i helped you , then thank you for giving me the honor to help.
and let's never for get to thank the great administrators here that help us all and give us this venue to make truly life saving changes.
and i must give a very special thank you to my glass blowing , sooner buddy jim. jim straightened me out with some tough love when we were first quitting together , and i am grateful for that today.
thanks to all , god bless you.
