Wow.............excellent work folks!

It seems many of you are committed to true "healthy living" and are more conscientious about eating right and keeping active than ever before! This is marvellous and also very motivational to read for others who have been dancing around the weight issue for a while now.

Consider joining our sister site where you can access more great tips and information on nutrition and healthy weight. It is www.healthyweightcenter.net

Keep up the great work!

Marivi, you are so busy those pounds could never find you if they wanted to.  I have not gained a lot, but I have lost quits because I became unhappy with the extra pounds that showed up.  I think you are right Karen, snacking or smoking same  time.  Also I adopted the attitude that my quit was more important, but the vanity side is/was screaming its head off.

I have come to accept the fact at my age a few extra pounds is okay   I will be 65 in a couple months and today while I was at Curves looking at some of the women (younger) I realized how blessed I am to have the fitness I have.  I work out 4 to 5 times a week and try to walk at least 3 miles 5-6 times a week.  I also garden and take care of my home.  Yes I would like to see 10 pounds off, but I would rather be smoke free today.  I have maintained the same for the last couple weeks, so to me that is progress.

Bob have fun detecting.  That sounds like so much fun. Mike you will win this battle too.  I just know it!! What I find that helps is keeping a journal and post it notes that read "YOU BITE IT YOU WRITE IT."

Keep the quit
