Think I am losing it...

Yes Ron that is exactly it.

We want to keep the forums as supportive and inclusive as possible.  We want everyone to feel welcome in a thread. Typically if a thread is addressed to just one person others do not feel welcome.  Thanks for all your input.  We always consider what everyone has to say.  Please direct questions and concerns about the program to the feedback section.

If you would like to call on people you can do so with the instant messenger.  That feature is ideal for talking to members individually.

Brenda Spacecas,
Just wanted to chime in that I think if Brenda responded to one of spacecas's messages she posted earlier it would be have been acceptable.  There are many past messages that were started by Spacecas that can be responded to by asking how everything is going?  I think the Mods thought if it's a message for just a certain person to call out to only, it is hard for others to participate and it doesn't really make the thread of purpose for the group.  I hope you see that the mods are to help the whole group and I don't think it was to take away the support Brenda was offering. I've seen many people respond to a message board already started with how's it going to someone without a hitch.  I hope you can all see that distiction.
Ron

Spacecas, I did start a thread asking how you were doing. The mods removed it, telling me that it is not okay to call anyone out. They say it makes some people less likely to post. I would love to be called out.

You are most welcome.  We all doubt our sanity from time to time whether we are smoking, quitting or quit.  If I s t r e t c h my memory, I recall times in my 20's when my bad memory screwed things up.  Did I worry about it then?  NO!  so why worry about it now?  It has always been happening, it just takes on more importance when you are trying to cover something else up.  Hon, just remember the old saying - "If you worry about being insane, you are probably normal".

Stay with us, we have a good mix of normality (or lack thereof)  here.

thank goodness..I was beginning to wonder if I was losing it or dreamed it one but,i knew that i had posted to that one first then some of the others..When I couldn't find that one I looked to make sure I had even been on here and posted to the other ones..This isn't funny but it is..I find myself tripping on small stuff now that I am completely sober, before I used the excuse of the drugs but have been free and clean for over 5 years..I do it still so it must be natural from time to time..I already worry about my sanity if it gets worse when I completely quit smoking Lord help me..But Thank you for reassuring me that I wasn't imagining things...

Hi, Wynn here (or FreedomSeeker) -

You aren't losing it - I saw it too.  Don't remember what forum or thread it was and I didn't see your answer - I had curled up with hubby, my kitty and a good book - but be prepared for worrying about your sanity when you quit and for some time thereafter.  The shifting of brain chemicals, elimination of blood pollutants and other physical and emotional effects should keep you preoccupied enough to not even think about smoking.  Well, it's not quite that easy but it is only as difficult as you let it be.  You can do it.

Luv,

Wynn

Not to worry Spacecas,

I am not sure the post you are referring to but hopefully Brenda will be along soon and she will be able to give you an update!

In the meantime, keep us posted on your quit and how you are doing with everything. We are here for you when you need us!
