Sounds like you are doing great spacecas!

Looks like you found the perfect quit buddy!   What a great bonding experience it will be to go through this with your husband.

Keep on preparing.  You are off to an amazing start!

Yes, there are side effects from the non-nicotine medications but you are quite correct in that you have to weigh the advantages and disadvantages.  I have been taking Zyban and although the Chantix is a different drug, you are doing the right thing in asking your family to watch for negative changes in your attitudes and behaviour.   In Canada, there has been stuff making the news about how our meds can cause suicidal impulses - not likely for us, eh!  We have too much to live for.  The other reported side effect is unreasonable hostility - like, who is going to quit smoking and not have that??!!??

My hubby says the Zyban/Wellbutrin was making me hostile.  My feeling is that I have been standing up for myself a bit more than usual, protecting my quit.  At the moment I can't remember who said it but here's a great expression for you to remember -

Women and cats rule the world .  Men and dogs might as well sit back and get used to it.

For all you guys & dog lovers out there, no insult intended.   Just offering some moral support to a fellow quitter.

Stay strong,

Wynn

Well besides wondering if I might be losing my mind or just had a very vivid dream, things have been going really good...As a matter of fact my husband has decided to stop smoking too...He is already down to like 4 a day,but he has quit before so he has some experience in it..Me I am still preparing for the 30th and can't wait for it to get here..i am so ready to do this..I would just stop now but don't wanna jump off that curb to soon..I feel like the meds are doing good also except for that one thing earlier but I do know vivid dreams are possible with all three meds I am taking so it want scare me too bad...The only thing that worries me is the side effects that are possible from the Chantix and I have my family on the look out for those and am sure all of you will let me know if I start posting weird out there stuff too....But if I weigh the risks of doing a few weird things while being able to stop smoking or dieing from lung cancer..I do believe I will take the meds over that...Well that is where I am for the moment and still preparing and reading and even if i don't log in I do at least check the posts every day to see how things are going for every one...Staying strong and getting ready to say nope..
