Thanks for sharing Duffis!

We love hearing from successful quitters.

Can you share a Duffism with today's quitters?

Hello everyone.  Today is my 54 month celebration and I can tell you first hand that at 76 years young the benefits of getting off the nicotine are amazing.  I was one of those lucky ones who just quit and went on with life.  I struggled with Pete and watched many of you fight your way to victory.  It took Pete 6 times to make it and now she too is benefiting the results of quitting.  I spent my time here trying to help others.  There were a lot of Duffisms and personal contact along the way. To all the quitters here at the SSC don't give up it may not be easy at first but it is possible to break the habit.

Kindness to all

Duffis

Hello Mr. Ed and good to see you so well!

And it makes perfect sense to me anyway, that the more you smoke on a daily basis, the larger number of triggers must be quieted.  You have done amazingly well Mr. Ed.  I'll bet your wife is really proud of you too!

Stickin',

As a Quitter who is about one month 'younger' than yourself, I feel that I've had it done and dusted for a little while now. Everybody is different, but for me, I told myself "if it takes a year of misery, then so be it - it is  a year worth sacrificing".
And I am very glad to say, I was absolutely right!
