Just don't let them "*hitty Ccommittee" take over and run the show. Don't beat yourself up, especially since there are so many people in society who'll do that for you. Be kind to yourself. Tell yourself, Good job! And how quitting smoking won't be any easier next week or next month.

We have received an email from a member and I thought it would make for an interesting discussion.
The question was, "What exaclty is self talk? Is that remembering the positives of not smoking and telling myself maybe the negatives of smoking?"
To my understanding, self talk is a common idea in mental health and it often refers to to the mind chatter we expereince in our minds. It is sort of like an internal dialogue with ourselves. By actively controling your self talk you can change your thinking, mood, motivation and even actions. The more you try to think positively the easier it becomes.
Members, what is self talk to you? What self talk do you engage in to help you with your quit?
