Congrats on making it through Hell Week!!! You have been kicking ash for over 170 hours now!!! Be sure to give yourself those daily rewards these first few weeks!!! Heck, reward yourself if you make it through an hour these first couple of weeks!!! For that matter, if it takes a reward every 5 minutes to protect your quit, just do it!!!
You are well on your way to freedom!!! Continue to rise to the challenge because you want this more than anything, right? You CAN do this, so just keep telling yourself that!!! We're all here for you and rooting for you!!!
Jim

Good evening, Sunshine!!! Awesome accomplishment with 6 days down! Remember you are retraining your brain to do things other than smoke. However, right now, all you can think about is how NOT to smoke. Like all things, you will learn through repetition....so look for other things to do when your brain tells you it is smoke-break time.
Replace it with a walk around the block/parking lot. Stand and look out the window and take deep breaths and enjoy that clear/clean feeling that was missing for so long. Look for anything that is different than your old smoking routine to create new ones.
I never thought I would make it past 1-2 weeks, let alone 8 months. Trust me, it does get better and the benefits/rewards are SO very worth it.
Keep on Quitting,
Dave
