welcome back healthy1,

You have all of our support, we're all walking the same path, only thing is some of us are a few steps ahead, some of us are a few steps behind. But we all share a common goal, to be free from our addiction and kill the junkie that lingers inside of us. I will be abscent from this site for a little while since I am moving, but I will be back. When I get back I hope to see you out of hell week and into heck week and kicking the nicodemons butt!!! You've done it before, you know what it takes.

Welcome back healthy1!

This this first week is going to be tough but I can do this.  Reread the program as a refresher and set up a rewards system.

What makes quitting some important to you.  What would it mean to you to be smoke free for a year?

I'm looking forward to reading more from you.

The harder you have it in the beginning, the easier it will be to refrain from taking it up again.......honest !

Hi healthy1! This too shall pass. Remember to breathe and drink lots of ice water. When you go through a calm period again, you might want to try to remember why you started smoking again after six months free. Knowing will help in the long run.

An hour ago I was in tears, yelling to myself, "this is so hard, this is so hard!" It would have been the easy way out to walk to the neighborhood store and  buy a pack. Instead, I made some dinner and tried to focus on anything but smoking.
I have been a member of this site for many years. I did quit for 6 months twice and felt so proud. ( and healthy). I can't recall at this point why I smoked again, but I am sure it was just the habit nagging at me.
I am 55 years young and I have quit smoking. I know in a week or so I will be happier than I am at this moment.  I read a few posts here and one stated at the end, "I love this place." So, this is my new home once again. I look forward to getting to know all of you, and I will appreciate the support.
Now I am going to take the dogs for a walk and then go to bed. Take good care all.
