You can try an egg whites omelette with fresh pico de gallo (diced tomatoes bell peppers and onions) and some lean ham turkey and a slice of whole grain bread.
I sometimes add some goat cheese and have it as a lunch entree

Since I have diabetes,  I often find breakfast difficult to do, because the foods tend to be high carbs, and it has been shown that as far as diabetes is concerned, no amount of eggs are okay. Need to think Mediterranean. Not sure what a Mediterranean breakfast consists of. I won't eat hummus and couscous. As a matte of fact, I went hungry when I was in Egypt years ago. I didn't like the food.

How about a different type of breakfast and the one I've been doing to rebuild my ex smoking bod.  It's a superfood smoothie which consists of fresh squeezed OJ or carrot or whatever green juice you can make. I bought a juicer as one of my rewards .  I add a banana, some mixed fruits I can get like peaches, strawberries or any berries fresh or frozen, pineapple, mangos, coconuts with water. Then I put in some greens like kale or cilantro or spinach.  I also add a powder I bought at the health food store that has different greens and veggies, sweeten with a date or agave sweetener.  I'll add ice and blend and that's a great start to your day.  And you will not have to worry about gaining weight and it's really tasty if you give it a chance and play around to make it to your tastes.  Have fun blending.  To your health!

Breakfast is important for maintaining a healthy weight. If you skip breakfast, chances are you will snack earlier and more often, and you'll likely be choosing less-nutritious snacks too. Breakfast skippers also tend to do most of their eating in the evening when their bodies are slowing down. This could change their metabolism so their bodies start storing those calories as fat. Research tells us that eating breakfast can give your metabolism a boost start so that your body can burn off calories, more efficiently. It is easier to maintain a healthy weight when you eat a good breakfast!

Some healthy breakfast ideas:
  • A bowl of high-fiber, multigrain cereal, lots of strawberries, and low-fat milk on top.
  • A granola bar, an apple, and a cold glass of milk.
  • A cup of nonfat yogurt, fresh blueberries mixed in, and a slice of whole wheat toast with a fruit spread on top.
  • A mini whole wheat bagel, spread lightly with cream cheese and jam; a peach; and a cup of yogurt.
  • A scrambled egg, a whole wheat roll, fresh fruit salad, and a cup of low-fat milk.
  • A low-fat muffin, a wedge of cantaloupe, and a cup of latte made with skim milk.

Hi Brenda'I have always had breakfast.
A bowl of oatmeal with cinammon and splenda.
But after quitting I got  a sweet tooth, so I just try to have healthy sweet things like apples and berries.

One of the reasons why I gained weight after I quit smoking is that I started eating breakfast. I used to just smoke and maybe drink sugar-free drinks until the afternoon. Anyone else now eating breakfast?
