Hi Todash,

This is a really great discussion topic and a great post! Thanks for initiating this, music can surely be a powerful tool.

Members, share the songs that motivate you and keep you going!

Music can help us get through the most trying of times, but in my experience, never more so than during the early days of a quit.  Although I'm not particularly an Eminem fan, his song 'Lose Yourself' struck a chord with me, specifically these bits:

You only get one shot do not miss your chance to blow, cos opportunity comes once in a lifetime...

Success is my only (bleep!) option failure's not...

I cannot grow old in Salem's lot, so here I go is my shot, feet fail me not, this maybe the only opportunity that I got...

For me, even the title 'Lose Yourself' couldn't be more appropriate, for aren't we doing just that - losing the 'I'm a smoker' label.

So I propose we create our own Quittin' IPod, with songs that inspire us to keep going. A few others that kept me going:

I Will Survive
Walkin' on Sunshine
I Can See Clearly Now
Roll With the Changes  (So if you're tired of the same old story, turn some pages...)

Over to you, gang?

x T
