I am so glad you posted about the people huddled at the airport. We are leaving at the end of the month, going to Arizona, I booked a hotel in Yuma, that is non-smoking, we are going for Dental work, and I know quitting now, will make the dental procedures and healing much easier.
I will not be one of the huddle,or looking around for a smoking area.. :)

Just over 2 weeks ago there were no flights out of the UK, which was a pity as I was due to fly to the Canary Islands with Mrs ED. Fortunately, the government lifted many of the restrictions just in time for us to get away. On the return journey, flights were being cancelled due to the closure of Spanish airspace, but luckily we were OK.
The only ash clouds I witnessed at the airport were above a huddle of people forced into a little enclosure in the open air to 'enjoy' their pre-flight smoke. Strangely, none of them looked like they were enjoying the experience very much ...
