I have to say that reading all the replies I had below put a HUGE and I mean HUGE smile on my face!!

Ya the weekend was horrible but I made it through...the cheeze pizzas, the Twizzlers, jelly donuts may have to wait for my next freak out...hey it's it's not nailed down when I feel that horrible...just kidding

I like the idea of rewarding myself for all the small wins.  I heard that before but never thought that I could reward myself anytime I made it through one of my freak outs.  I guess I can...I make the reward rules I guess.  LOL  I will def make a list and post it everywhere that I can...or at least keep it handy.

Thanks again for all the encouragement...Heck week...watch out!!   I'm ready for you.

That first weekend is the absolute most painful weekend I had so I totally know where you're coming from!  Just keep on doing what you're doing, get out there and try to enjoy yourself as much as you can and whatever it takes to keep kicking ash you do it, whether it's one DQ Blizzard, sixteen cheese pizzas, a tub of popcorn, four jelly donuts and a pack of Twizzlers later...JUST DON'T SMOKE!!

Skates, congratulations on surviving Hell Week!  One day at a time, one hour or one minute at a time too when needed!  Just remember that this quit is all about you!  Treat yourself like royalty!  Reward yourself as needed!  Something small for a passed craving, a medium reward for a smoke free day, and a larger reward for a smoke free week!  Bubble baths, long walks, a favorite ice cream or other treat.  You've earned these rewards, and you deserve these rewards!  Now that you've survived Hell Week, let's get you through Heck Week.  Just say N.O.P.E. and you'll go far!

Well done Skates on all your achievements over the last weekend. Weekends are tough and to be around a smoker must make it doubly tough! But you did it!! and it's Monday, so well done to you. Before you know it, next Monday will be here and those days will just keep piling up and up- keep that great positivity too.

Skates,

Good for you for rewarding yourself and keeping busy!

Leave your boyfriends story at the door for now and concentrate on the fabulous job you are doing!

This is about you and you have to focus on what you need to do to get through this!

We can't wait to celebrate the next milestone with you and perhaps a DQ Blizzard (LARGE) would make a nice reward!

I understand the feeling perfectly, Skates!!! Kudos to you for keeping the quit! Being around a smoker makes it twice as hard. But you are doing it, in spite of all this... How strong, how wonderful, what a great achievement... So, today, pat yourself on the back and give yourself a big reward for doing great! And, guess what? You are "allowed" to be grumpy!!!
Keep the quit
Cristina

I have never really been this happy for a Monday.  I had a tough weekend.  I was sooo grumpy that I should have stayed in bed all day...or just resorted to eating everyhing in sight.  My b/f even said that I didn't look friendly at all...he's still smoking (that's another story).

I kept myself busy all day yesterday.  Went to the driving range, 2 walks and a treat at DQ.  I am so happy to have made it through Sat and Sub...AND hell week!!  Now to week 2 and deal with that 1 craving/1 day at a time.

Cheers!
