Hello reiki  And so you should be happy with what you are accomplishing. Just as we learned to smoke ( with the help of an addictive drug ) we have to unlearn old habits and replace them with new living choices. You could say that we're learning how to live a new life. After one week the physical addiction is over and we now deal with the phsychological addiction. There comes a time when smoking isn't even a thought anymore. Before we smoked that first cigarette we didn't need one and we can become undependent again. If you were having trouble breathing and coughing a lot you'll notice that you're probably already breathing better and hardly cough at all by now. Read , post and drown the craves with ice cold water. If it happens that you're having a bad moment leave it in the past and start a new one. Tell yourself that no matter what happens I won't smoke today. You're the most important person here. breather

I am coming up on my 7th day. I am so happy, that I am almost in tears thinking about it. I have hated cigarettes for sooo long  now. I am so proud of myself, and happy as all get out that I am getting them out of my life. It is still a battle, but it is one that I feel I am beginning to get a hold of and can actually beat it. My physical withdrawals seem to be closing on themselves, and it is getting just a little bit easier ... I can't wait for another week to go by, and I hope that by that time it is even easier than it is right now. I hate cig's. I do not want them in my life anymore. They stink. They make me feel like crap. I run out of breath to easily. I want to breath more freely again before I get so old that it is to late to breath well. I don't want to by on an oxygen tank. I do not want to die of cancer (I watched my Aunt go through dying of Lung Cancer).
