Hi Steelroots,

Be sure to enjoy your twins b-day celebration! Sounds like it will be a great time!

Regarding your relapse, instead of feeling badly about it, put it behind you and move on.  Staying smoke-free for any length of time is a big accomplishment, don’t forget to give yourself credit for that. Relapsing is usually an important learning experience. It means that you need to work on something in order to succeed fully.  The fact that you lapsed means that you first had to succeed at quitting. That's a good sign for eventual success.

Milestone 4 has a great section about when you will be tempted to slip, check it out and prepare yourself for dealing with any and all temptation!

Stay strong, and post often!

Today is my twins (27th) B/D  - I'm really excited to celebrate with them smoke free this year.

I'm really regretting my relapse, had I not smoked, today would have been 95 days instead of 14.  I'm moving on and still considering myself quit for 3 months.

Very proud of my quit and looking forward to it not being such a battle - but I can't undo what I did for 35 years in a few weeks or months but I'm slowly but surely making progress with my journey and goal of quitting!

My Mileage:

My Quit Date: 7/21/2010
Smoke-Free Days: 14
Cigarettes Not Smoked: 210
Amount Saved: $52.50
Life Gained:
Days: 2 Hrs: 0 Mins: 59 Seconds: 9
