Ashley I read Allen Carr's book again. (I'm not sure I have ever read it to the end). I had a 9 month quit going.. and even though I read it and read it and saw it here. I "thought" I was far enough in my quit that I could go out with friends and have a "Social" smoke. Well I think for 99% of smokers there is NO such thing. Addiction is addiction, once you have it under control.. be thankful.. don't go testing the waters.. if you see sharks there are sharks. if a dragon is sleeping.. no poking with sharp sticks.
I also leared from Jim.. A Positve Mental Attitude is what it take. I looked at this quit as something I wanted to do. I m not giving up a Thing. I have taken back control of my life, I have a choice.. to smoke or not. I chose to not smoke, and I do it one day at a time. Although some days now I dont even think about it.
Thanks to friends here and support I know I have help whenever I need it.
Bonnie

Hi ! Stopping in to say Hello. I have 123 days. 4 months now. I am amazed at how well this quit is going. I know better now ( and keep reminding myself) that I have to keep this quit safe. There is NO such thing as one. I cannot go out and have a "social" smoke. I am addicted to Nicotine. the choice is mine.. To smoke or Not.
I am seeing and enjoying the advantages. I still have times.. when I need to remind myself of the advantages. and I carry around Jim's saying PMA (positive mental attitude)
It has been a busy summer, I can hardly believe it is September. I have made a few batches of jam.. and Friday picked up peaches and nectarines.. It poured this weekend so I didn't get blackberry picking, but will have more sunny days to pick
Take Care Everyone. have a great smoke free day
Bonnie
