I hear you on that one, Ron. There is something about a lack of lung capacity that makes exercise unattractive. I had to quit smoking to lose weight. I now love to exercise, too.

So true about not having a purpose when a smoker. I also never thought I liked exercise until I quit. It's now my new drug of choice :) Happy 174 to you!

Go! Go! Go! Go, leelaknight! I'm doing what I can to raise money for various organizations, too. I'm preparing to do the Alzheimer's walk. I'm trying to get people involved on any level. I tell them that the life they save may ultimately be their own. I've got friends who are dying right now. I'm relatively healthy. It is my responsibility to get out there and do what they cannot.

I am shocked i was even a smoker... i have been "training" for a 5 k (on the 12th my 6 mth anniversary for komen breast cancer) and i run the streets of NYC... it's been very hot so breathing is hard but made even harder by all the people smoking on the streets as i run by...
i can't even believe i was one of the stagnant people just sitting there with no journey...being a non smoker feels sooooo freaking awesome!!!
thank you ssc and all the member who keep people going... i owe a lot to the fact that i was able to vent to people here and blow off the steam need to get over the slly cravings! I am that healthy person now! Everyone join in!!!
