We were looking for you guys this last weekend, Sparky and Peteg...
It was like a ghost town around here
But glad you had a nice weekend Sparky, and sorry Peteg, that your weekend wasn't so fun. I suppose I fall heavily under the "Do not have a life" reason and was hanging out here all weekend, reading and posting. Alice was here with me. We had fun anyway... Just missed ya.

Your posts always make me smile. I was too lazy to change all the clocks, so all day I suffered from time confusion
P.S. According to the newspaper, daylight savings was the United States idea (and Canada followed suit). Its pretty crazy the debates surrounding day light savings.....who knew time could be so controversial?
It took me half the day on Sunday to figure out what time it was, and the other half to figure out how to reset the clocks, microwave, radios, coffee maker, DVR, and everything else that ticks or glows or beeps in my house.
Daylight savings time was WHOSE idea??? Dumbest, most unnatural thing I've ever heard of.
(Well. Maybe not the MOST unnatural... sucking on a lit tube of poison gas is even higher on the unnatual scale.)
Had a very busy week-end. My sister and brother-in-law drove down Saturday so had lunch with them and after they left was Nebraska play on TV. Then Sunday it was a wonderful day so I spent the day outside mowing and edging the sidewalk and driveway. Leaves are almost down, so not much more to do. Love the ideas.
Well Alice, I suppose we are the only weekenders around so far. I like your #1 weekend idea and also your #5, but I'm afraid I would have to substitute your tea for a glass of wine.
I'm headed for sleepy time...I'll be back tomorrow.

I definitely fall into the weekend lurking group. I love playing solitare but sadly I think the days I used to play card games with actual cards as become a foggy memory. Although the time spent with my 5 year old nephew, has made me a pretty sharp Go Fish player. Your suggestion of playing a board game solo gave me a much needed laugh
Here's my weekend additions:
1. Looking up cheap flights and vacation packages to all the places I would love to go once I am done University.
2. Filling out christmas cards. I like to send everyone x-mas cards with little notes and this usually takes me a while to do. So I need to start early.
3. Making great dinners....tonight Eggplant parmisan w/ a green salad!
4. Reading a text book while having a bath.....this way I can trick myself that I am not actually doing school work but relaxing.
5. Enjoying a cup of tea with a favorite book or crossword. I have been going to a tea house every couple of weeks to treat myself to some new kind of tea......I love lavender earl grey and mango mate (great caffeine substitute)
Anything that distracts me from smoking and my looming school deadlines.
You know who you are... We are the ones that hang out here on the SSC all weekend just lurking
BECAUSE:
1. Weekends are still really hard for us. So we come here to read posts, post in the forums, research forums for help and support.
and/or
2. We do not have a life and have absolutely nothing else to do on the weekend.
So, which ever the reason or both ...let't find something to do.
There is a post up in the Weight Gain Forum called An Alphabet Game, it still has some letteres left to complete or we could start a list of things that ex-smokers can do over the weekend when the weather outside gets frightful
Okay, I'll start:
Playing solitaire with real cards at a table (not on the computer, remember how??)
Playing a board game, hopefully you have someone at your house that you can play with (but if you don't you can still run around the table and play for both people!!!)
Read a book or if need be... read several books.
Any One Else???
