       Remember the 6-P's...  Proper Planning Prevents Piss-Poor Performance!!!  Keep those patches handy, as well as your ice water, crave basket and your list of coping mechanisms!!!  Also, remember that you are non-smokers now and that smoking is not an option!    
 
       You both are doing great so far!!!  Freedom is right around the corner... crave it and don't let anything stop you from achieving your goal!!!

Hi Bandit, and well done for getting this far, I have done day 23 and am really struggling today; thought it should be easier, but feel like I am going backwards :(  even wondered if just one would really matter??????
 Realised when I read your post that I had forgotten todays patch!

Congratulations on 5 weeks! How does it feel to have come this far?
 
You will have crave moments but those craves will get fewer and fewer the longer you stay quit.  It is a good thing that you recognize you are still at risk for slipping if in the wrong situation so keep your guard up and stay away from your triggers.

Hey Bandit- well done on your 5 weeks, and I was so pleased you fought those tough craves yesterday. I think you answered the reason yourself, you were not prepared with your patch and so your defences were a little down. But you didn't stumble, you fought back and the day passed. It will get better, 5 weeks is pretty awesome, you've come so far now, keep up the great work and be prepared!

Well I've reached 5 weeks.  Hasn't been bad and really trying to stay focused on the big picture - healthier, feeling better about myself, doing this for my grandchildren. 
But I tell ya yesterday was a rough day.  Just craved most of the day. I think it was because I didn't get a chance to put the patch on at all and was depending on the nicorette gum.  Happy to say I got through it although if I had found a cigarette, I think I would have smoked it.  Here's hoping for a better week ahead.
