The best time to quit is when you really want to quit. You are going through a lot right now and quitting smoking may likely add to the discomfort of these transitions initially...but it will also add hope, pride and health and many more positives to your life. Your biggest challenge will likely be dealing with stress. Many smokers turn to smoking when they are feeling stressed. You will need to break this habit. This will take some planning and learning on your part but I have no doubt you will be able to do it. You deserve this! Especially now!
What are some healthy ways you cope with stress now? Are there any new ways of coping with stress you would like to try out or learn more about?
I am new to the program but have been thinking about quitting many years ago. No doubt I want to quit but I am going through some very dramatic changes in my life right now i.e. separation, changing job, menopause, etc etc..And smoking has been my friend during these difficult times. So my question is ..is this a good time to quit?
