I've had a drink maybe twelve times in the last 90 days (a massive achievement for me). At first, i was just the insomniac i always was. Two weeks in, however, I noticed a significant improvement in the quality of my sleep. I was so grateful for this extra blessing on top of the abstinence. Good luck. Stick with it. its worth it.

Hi Chairman,

How long have you been abstaining for? Fatigue is a common withdrawal symptom.  Remember it does pass and when it does you will have more energy then every. Being easy on yourself and taking naps is good but try not to go overboard. Try to keep your sleep schedule as consistent as possible. That being said though, the most important thing right now is to stick with your goal of abstaining from alcohol. If that means you need to sleep quite a bit at first then so be it.

Members, what are your expereinces with Fatigue and Alcohol withdrawal?

I'm happy to be sober, but after the work day, I have to have a nap when I get home and there goes the
night plans. I aim for 2 hr but often it turns into a 4 hr nap and then it's time to get up and get ready for bed.
Is this sort of fatigue normal when the booze is gone????And how long does it last???
