Thansk for posting this. There is a data level limit on the posts and the site also has a time out feature that logs you off if you have been idle or awhile (typing is considered idle to the system as you are not hitting any wesite buttons). So it's a good idea to copy your long posts just in case. CTRL c to copy and CTRL v to paste. Also, copying from word or websites can sometimes leave formatting tagging in the text so it can cause weirdness when posting directly to the site. If you copy your work paste it into notepad and then copy from notepad and paste into the site, this will remove any tagging.
