venlafaxine/ anxiety ?

I believe that anxiety symptoms do change with time. Symptoms are our own personal way of living anxiety, and as we change, so do our symptoms. I know this to be true as it's happened to me and i've had anxiety since childhood. Sometimes, you find a way to put an end to a symptom by focusing on it, and suddenly a new symptom appears because you just focused on the symptom and not the root cause of your anxiety. Anyways, that's my experience.

Hi, I haven't posted for some time, as I've been feeling quite well since changing my meds from mirtazapine to venlafaxine, anxiety has been low and those awful butterflies in my tummy that I was so scared of disappeared. Now tho' I find that if I get tired I get this lump in my throat that makes it difficult to swallow, does anyone else have the same ? I read Claire Weeks book ages ago that said the anxiety symtoms wouldn't change, i.e if ou had a tight chest, the you wouldn't develop and other symtoms, and believed this to be true, as my anxiety was always a stomach thing, so is this new 'feeling' an anxiety thing ? Have been on venlafaxine since the spring, and feel that it has helped, is there anybody out there who has used this before, long term ? My doctor also wants me to come off HRT, an dthis frightens me as I haven't had a major attack since being off it, are there any alternatives ? Sorry to ask so much, but can't think of anyone else to ask !
