Hey guys!
Thanks for sharing your experiences with the dizzy spells. It's like, logically, I know it's just from the anxiety, but panic being anything but logical, I keep thinking, yeah, but, what if.... I'm sure you all relate to that! :confuse:
As far as the fast heart beat goes, I used to have this same problem for years and years and years. I started exercising again about a year ago and it has helped my heart rate tremendously! It used to always be close to 100. Now, it's usually in the high 70s low 80s. Take a walk every day. Just 30 minutes if you can - start out slowly if you haven't exercised in a long time. I know it's scary because it makes your heart beat faster, but remember that your heart is a muscle and it needs to be worked out to be stronger. Exercise will help to regulate it's function.
Also, I read in a cardiology magazine that your heart rate fluctuates naturally all day. Depending on the position your sitting in, if you're standing, if you're laying down, if you need to drink some water, if you're hungry, if you're anxious, etc. It is constantly changing. Even after you eat, your heart rate increases. When you're sleeping, your heart rate increases. The only way to really measure your accurate heart rate, is first thing in the morning before you eat or drink anything. Sit in a comfortable relaxed position, not when you're feeling anxious, sit for a few minutes and that will be the best way to get the closest measurement to your accurate heart rate.
Hope that helps and thanks for the replies!! ;)
