When I get a lot of sleep, I don't feel anxious

Hi everyone, Thanks fixing for sharing this explanation from your doctor about the importance of getting an adequate amount of sleep and the impact that not getting enough sleep can have on anxiety symptoms. Casey ______________________________________ The Panic Center Support Team

I found out a couple weeks ago that I have sleep aponea. I did a sleep study and found that I stop breathing an average of 23 times per hour. I go to a specialist next week to determine causes. I think that alot of my anxiety/panic is related to sleep deprivation also. My doc agrees that if you're not sleeping well then your mind doesn't unwind properly at night and you aren't functioning 100% the next day. This can lead to all sorts of problems, and I think super-sensitivity to things like anxiety and depression are a part of this. FIXING

Hello. I find too that the more I sleep, the better I am. I think for me, I feel like I can hide in bed from my anxiety. I'm relaxed, well rested, and if I stay in bed and sleep, then I can't have the feelings. It's like I sleep them away. I slept off and on ALL weekend, much more then normal. Friday was a horrible day for me, and the extra sleep is what I needed to kick myself into shape. That and, my anxiety is exhausting. When I have had a bad day, I need much more sleep or it takes me a lot longer to get over it. For me, I think it's just being well rested helps me to deal better with my symptoms...and it takes up more time out of my day when I'm symptom free!

Square, Take our anxiety test and submit it to your doctor. This can help better assess the situation. Relaxation techniques can also help relieve unnecessary stress. Keep Strong, Josie ______________________________ The Panic Center Support Team.

I slept over 8 hours last night, and today I feel great. No fear or anxiety at ALL. Maybe my problem is sleep related???
