Madara, The following ten questions may help you to challenge this anxious thoughts. When you have an anxious thought, answer some of these 10 questions: Is it "true"? How do I know it€™s true? Is it 100% true? (remember something that is 75% or 99% true is not 100% true) What's the evidence for it being true? What's the evidence against it being true? Has it ever happened before? What's different now? If it were true, how bad would it really be? What's the worst thing that could happen? If the worst thing happened, how bad would it really be? Hope this helps. :) Start challenging those thoughts! Danielle ______________________ The PC Support Team

I am not a doctor but i have not ever heard of anyone dying of tingly arms because of a panic attack. I have had tingly and numb arms and feet and partly my face too during attacks before. It used to happen to me often. I am still a very healthy woman. It will not kill you. Hope my testimony helps you. -Diva

A very silly question..I know the answer but I want to ask it again (don't know why it is so- I am mad on myself)- can I die because of tingly arms caused by a panic attack? :( :( :(

Yes....., for the first time I see there are other people who have the same feeling. Sometimes I have tingly fingers but the most unpleasant tingling is when I have a panic attack...then I have tingly arms and sometimes even face. At the beginning I thought I am having a stroke but now I understad it's a part of anxiety and panic. I have learned to control it (I expose myself to this feeling and tell myself that if a panic attack and tingling want to kill me, they are welcome to do that...and then panic gradually stops). Is it neuroses? I also have to fly in two weeks time and I'm thinking of I am going to cope with it.

Jo, Start preparing for your flight now. Use visualizing techniques of arriving at the airport, boarding the plane and your flight. Work your way slowly through each scenario slowly, challenging anxious thoughts along the way. Once you've got through the first visualization, relatively anxiety free, move on to the next scenario. Keep practicing these visualizations, you could even do a dry run to the airport before your trip if you think you might benefit. Keep persevering, Danielle ______________________________ The Panic Center Support Team

Hey Jo! I get this same feeling too. Actually, it happens to my whole arm, from top to bottom. I get this tingly feeling.....it almost feels numb. It comes out of the blue and sometimes last for a little while or sometimes for hours. I also feared the same thing as you, STROKE!!!! But, as i read more and more about anxiety/panic, i learned that numbness and these sorts of things are part of the anxiety package. So i tend not to get myself to worried about this! U shouldn't worry either! hope i helped a bit bye!
