Spontaneous Crying

Hi, I am exactly the same as you. I either respond with intense anger over nothing or end up sobbing in bed for hours. My boyfriend got so upset by my last crying outburst that he threatened to call an ambulance if i wouldnt stop. that made me laugh as I imagined a full set of paramedics turning up to take me to hospital and my only sympton being that i was in tears. I think it can get worse at certain times of the month. I tend to cry when I feel that im overwhelmed with the panic feelings and i cant see a way out. All I can advise you is that there is nothing wrong with some tears, they are natural and normal, everybody cries, it is just a way of coping. When im in floods of tears it always kind of makes me feel better as i know im experiencing emotion and responding in a normal way. Its sometimes a relief to actually feel something as opposed to feeling removed from the world as i do for most of the time. hang in there and if you are crying try to reach out to someone, call a friend or get someone to just give you a hug. Theres nothing worse than crying on your own. It always amazes me that no matter how hard peoples lives are that use this website we are all still so ready to feel for other people and show them empathy. this should be something to be proud of. The fact that you care deeply about other people suffering like you do shows you are a great person who deserves to get better.

I understand exactly what you mean. If I try to tell someone just what I feel when I go through panic attacks, I seem to go one of two ways: I'm either really cold and unfeeling, as though I'm reading a textbook, or I just break down into tears and can barely even speak. Even if I'm not feeling especially vulnerable or sad at the time, I can still burst into tears when talking or even thinking about it. In fact, sometimes when I come to this site (I'm still working my way through the sessions), as I read the lessons and learn about panic attacks, I cry or feel like crying. It's natural, I think. I mean, it's a big deal, and it's a very emotional thing! It must be a part of working through it.

Hi! yes i know what you are experiencing. I feel the same too. If it try to explain my situation. Or when i think of how others see me, i just break down and cry. Its just such a personal issue to me and I just really want to focus on gettng better. Its a sensitive issue in all our lives. So dont worry, its not wrong to cry about it. Sometimes its good to just open up to others and let it all out! Sooner or later, you will be able to talk about it objectively without crying at all!!!! we are all here for you!

Hello! Sorry to hear you are feeling that way. When I'm feeling low I usually cry quite a bit too - always over nothing! I had a day on my own at home today (which is often what I get anxious about) but when my friend phoned and asked how I was, I was crying after a few sentences just cos it's so nice to have someone who listens (even though he doesn't realy understand!) It's true, not many people mention crying but I get it and I bet a lot of other people do too. I've come through a big low before so I know from experience that there is a way out. That was a few years ago. Now I feel like I'm back there again but never ever lose the idea that you will 'get back to normal' and, as I am doing now, focus your energy on the knowledge that you are a strong person underneath and will not let negativity beat you!!! Change, It might help if you take the free anxiety test and print out the results to take to your doctors visit. Thats the reason the test was designed. Has anyone experienced spontaneous crying when speaking about panic attacks or thinking about how others see your situation? I've noticed that I break out into tears very easily. I don't think that I'm depressed-
