My doctor said that in order to feel the full effects of the lexapro it could take up to 4 to 6 weeks. Stick it out a little longer and you should see an improvement. If not, there are plenty others out there. I have noticed that the fogginess and shakiness on the inside that I have is present some days and other days I actually feel pretty "normal". I have been feeling better and doing more things, as keeping busy truly helps with anxiety sufferers (less time to sit and think or notice every change in our bodies that might trigger fear and panic). So I have finally found hope and it is such a good thing. I feel like I am slowly but surely getting bad to my old self. It just takes time so be patient and know that you can and will beat this. Stay strong and keep me posted :)

Bone, I have experienced numbness/tingling in various parts of my body as well, one being my cheek and into my neck(on the left side). Doc says everything is fine but it freaks me out too. I kind of want an MRI so I know for sure but tests came back ok. Does yours come and go? Mine comes and goes, along with feeling out of it and not "normal". Sometimes I feel like I am walking around in a haze or fog and I feel shaky on the inside. Do you ever feel like that? I wouldn't worry too much and don't let it get you panicky. It's probably our anxiety and the fact that we are very sensitive to any changes in ourselves. We can even create some symptoms ourselves. But I know where you are coming from. Keep us posted and you are not alone.

bone, Are you keeping a journal? When did this start? Check with your doctor to rule out anything medical and check with your pharmacist for information on dosages and side effects. The members will be along shortly to share their experiences. Keep Strong, Josie _______________________________ The Panic Center Support Team.

Have you had it checked out by the doctor? I'm sure its just nerves, but there is always a sense of reassurance in getting it looked at. I occassionally get weird quirks sometimes at various places, but normally I manage to just ignore it by telling myself its nothing and if it is anything serious it will declare itself over time, and it never has. I'm guessing that your simply focusing on it so much that your nerves are promoting that sensation from memory. Also if the symptoms haven't gotten any worse over the past month, then it shouldnt be anything serious. I hope that helps and you'll feel better. matt

i have been getting these wierd new symptoms and they are really freaking me out, about a month ago i started getting this wierd numbness/tingling in my left cheek, at first i thought it would go away but it still remains and caused me to have panic attacks all the time now...i feel out of it most of the day and shaky, my doc switched me to lexapro a couple of weeks ago, so far that is not helping at all! i take xanax as needed but even that sometimes doesnt even help...any one else experience somethn like this?? help
