Misswrld, Be sure to consult your doctor or pharmacist before starting to take any kind of supplement. Although they can provide great therapeutic benefits, they have been shown to interact negatively with certain illnesses and medication. Danielle ________________________ The SSC Support Team

Thankyou guys so much for your advise! It really does help me alot. Isabella, i have heard about taking magnesium supplements, mabey i will give that a try, You know i wonder how people like us get to be this way? I did quit looking up my symptoms, it has helped out. I am still having the palpitations, but im going to try the supplements too, and see how that works, i just do not understand where the pain and the palpitations come from, and that is what scares me. I do have a condition called mitral valve prolapse, wich is not supposed to be serious, most people dont even know they have it, wich is why i wonder why it bothers me so much. Did that make sence? Anyway, thankyou so much, please keep in touch with me!!

Miss, All I can say is WOW!! You and I are soooo alike. I, too, worry about diseases, I've had every test done, I am always aching somewhere, my stomach is always bloated, I have severe heartburn, and I used to have chest pains and palpitations daily. I am also only 23 years old and going to college full-time. All I can say is that I have gotten better. I used to look up every physical symptom on the internet and that only fueled the fire. I started worrying I had this disease or that disease. I now refuse to search the internet when I feel bad or when my anxiety is really high because I know it will only make my anxiety worse. This has helped me tremendously. I also no longer suffer from daily chest pains and heart palpitations. For the heart palpitations, I actually started taking a magnesium supplement, 250 mg twice a day, and this seemed to do the trick because I rarely have them anymore and I used to have several major ones a day. But you have to understand that when our bodies are under intense stress, palpitations are a normal bodily response and don't necessarily mean that something is wrong with your heart (it took me several cardiologist visits and EKG's to come to this conclusion). As for my chest pains, I was hyperventilating and breathing improperly and this caused my chest pains, especially during panic attacks. Now I just do breathing techniques and don't experience chest pains anymore. I still suffer from my anxiety and I still worry alot and I still get afraid that I am going to let it beat me. But when I look back on this past year, I have gotten a lot better as far as palpitations, chest pains, hyperventilation, dizziness. I still suffer from occasional symptoms but things have gotten better. Thanks for making me realize that ;). I've been having a tough time lately with struggling with having to go back to class after our winter break so it is good to see that things have only gotten better. Good luck and know that things will get better for you.

Hi Miss World, I can truly relate to you. I constantly worry and worry and worry about any symptom that i experience. It could be something so small, and yet I make a whole show about it. The funny thing is that no matter how many doctors tell me that 'nothing is wrong with me', i still deep down inside WORRY that they may have missed something. I just keep thinking that my doctor is so used to my anxiety and complaining, that maybe he is brushing it off as anxiety. I mean, he does send me to do tests etc, but i always somehow continue the worrying. I too would LOVE to get rid of this constant thinking and worrying about my own health. Its really my utlimate stressor right now. Plz just try NOT to look up things on the net. That is the worst thing that we and do. If your really think about, people with anxiety experience a wide range of symptoms. If we start to look these symptoms up, there are soooo many diseases that will pop up. And then we freak out for no reason. Our symtoms can be generalized to almost any disease. So stop worrying. You are perfectly FINE. Its just anxiety, and you are in control here. (i should start taking my own advice ;) ) I hope i helped a bit by letting you know that i can completely relate to you! any other advice????

miss, Start by keeping a journal and diary. Write in it every day and mark down when you are getting the palpitations. This may better assess why you are getting them and pinpoint certain areas you can work on. Take your results to your doctor and discuss paths that you can take. Challenge those anxious thoughts and start using the program step by step to get you through. We are always here for support and knowledge :) Josie ______________________________ The Panic Center Support Team.

Hello! I need some advise, i am sick and tired of CONSTANTLY worrying about if i have this disease or that disease. I look up my symptoms on the internet and they always seem to lead to some crazy ailment. I've had and electrocardiogram, stress test, and a holter monitor, the doctors say im okay, but i still can not help to think that something is wrong with my heart, i have palpitations and chest pain on a daily basis. I just can not stop worrying about my health. I also had and HIV test done today, and i am worried about those results, i have to wait two weeks to get them. I am also alway tense and sore. The doctors also say that all my weird symptoms are due to my "anxiety" but everything is always due to my anxiety. How do i learn to trust what they say and just move on? I wonder if this is just how my body handles stress? Through physical symtoms? I mean my back and neck hurt, my stomach hurts, im always bloated, heart skips and hurts, sometimes i get really shaky. And the really funny thing is, is that i am only 22 years old. What is wrong with me!! Does anyone else go through this? I kinda am under alot of stress, i am a single mom of a beatiful 3 year old, i work part time and go to college full time. Any advise would be greatly appriciated. Thankyou!
