Hi Isabella, It is normal for you to feel "Off" today. It is normal that you are more dizzy and all that stuff after all you are in the process of recuperating from illnees. As for palpitations. They are o.k. I get them all the time! Sometimes they are small and sometimes they are big whoppers that feel really scary and i mean big. and it is always ok afterwards. You will be fine! And if you feel that scared and that awful and you get too many bad heart palpitations, nothing is stopping you from going back to see your doctor or even going to the hospital for a quick check-up. I mean worse case they tell you your fine and go home and you go home and rest. But i am telling you heart palpitations happen and sometimes they are just bigger then other times.

Thanks for the support and advice Diva. I really needed it and it really helped. Now I have another problem. I've been getting dizzy on and off all day today and then I got dizzy so I laid down and then I had a really big heart palpitation. One like I've never had before. I felt flooded with fear, paralyzed for a moment, short of breath, and thought I was going to die for sure. Now I am petrified and I want to go to the hospital because I am so freaked out. I haven't had major heart palpitations for a long time and now this one was really bad so I don't know what to do. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! ~Isabella~

Hi Isabella I know it's hard when the anxiety is so strong but keep reminding yourself that you were diagnosed with bronchitis, not pneumonia(sp?)You have to believe what the doctor tells you. It'll probably take about a week or so before you feel like yourself again. One thing that really works for the breathing problems associated with bronchitis is a cool mist humidifier. Hope you feel better soon!

Hi Isabella! Hmm i am not sure how much help i can be in this but here goes. 1- and this is just a suggestion here. Do not google anymore on this lol. when looking at lists of symptoms and such it is ALWAYS possible to find symptoms that seems like you have them. Even if the illness has NOTHING to do with you! And then when you have a illness that is in the same region (i.e. lungs and such) then finding those similarities are even easier! But it is still not the same illnees or the same thing at all!!! 2- I highly doubt that with rest, the care of your doctor the help of the medecine and everything else that is playing in your favor atm that you would develop a pnemonia from bronchitis! Listen my husband used to have at least 3 bronchitis a year as a teenager/young adult. He usually didnt go to the doctor and kept working and going to school while he was sick. He just slept more and rank a lot of water the rest of the time. and guess what. Not once did he get a pneumonia out of it and he didn't even really care for himself (What can i say he is a guy lol)! So you will be fine! you will not get pneumonia. Getting pneumonia is not like catching the common flu or a common cold, it doesn't just happen as easily lol 3- You can survive pneumonia! Pneumonia is not the be all and end all of diseases! And if your googling tells you otherwise dont beleive it. I am personnal proof you survive pneumonia! I had pneumonia and i am perfectly fine. I had it for days too before i was smart enough to go get help at the hospital lol and i still got better. And it is not like i am the most uberhealthy person ever with an immune system akin to the man of steal himself! I am just your average woman with an average immune system and i still got better from full blown penumonia. So here is what i can tell you. You will not develop penumonia. And yes bronchitis is bad and hurts and makes you feel real bad. And the trouble breathing makes the anxiety worse. And the fear of medication makes it hard too. But you will get better and you will start breathing better and the anxiety will lessen and all will be better. So even tho i know you will heal one way or another i will still pray for it to pass quickly so you can be better faster and i assure you you will be just fin

Well....I am really freaked out that I have pneumonia so I was wondering if anyone could help me be more rational and ease the fear of worrying that I am developing pneumonia. I googled it and now I am worse off than I was before. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks guys! ~Isabella~

Angel and Diva, Thank you guys for the encouragement. Needless to say, I survived another night and feel slightly better as the high fever has gone down a lot. I know my anxiety makes it so much worse because I fear getting pneumonia or having a coughing attack, like I've had, and being unable to breath and dying. It is horrible! I am on my second day of meds and still get anxious when I take them but I am getting better with that. I know that they will only help me but I was so worried because my niece had an allergic reaction to it and I feared that I might have one as well. My mom helped by telling me that I took it many times as a child so I would be fine. I know I am being completely irrational but that is anxiety at its finest! I will try and be as positive as possible because it really does help. Thank you all so much for just being there. It really does make me feel better. Stay healthy by washing your hands well ;) ~Isabella~

Hi Isabella, I really hope your feeling better. I feel your pain. But please just keep focusing your thoughts on the end result....THAT YOU WILL FEEL BETTER and this is just TEMPORARY. I have been trying to fight this throat infection for almost 3 months now on and off. I felt better for the past 2-3 weeks and NOW IT CAME BACK. Its really freaking me out, but i'm just trying to 'deal' with it....whatever that means!!!! :confuse: Try your best to think positive at the moment. I know everyone probably says that to you (cause everyone always says that to me)...but we really have to just force ourselves to have some hope! If it makes you feel any better, everyone is sick at my work...they all have colds, flus, and BRONCHITIS....so u can imagine how many people are going through what you are going through too! You are not alone and it is very common to get sick in this awful weather! The medication will help you. It will not harm you! I am sure you have taken amoxicillan before....its a common antiobiotic they give. I just took it too not too long ago. You are strong, healthy, and courageous! Just believe in yourself and believe that you WILL get better!!! Get some rest and let us know how you are feeling! :)

Danielle and Samantha, Thank you so much for responding. I am trying to challenge my thoughts and tell myself that everything I am feeling is due to being sick but it is really hard right now. On top of being really sick I had to stay home ALONE from 7am until 7pm and I missed my son so much and felt like I was just going to die all alone and miss out on him growing up. It sounds so dramatic but it didn't seem too far fetched. Since he and my fiance got home, I do feel a million times better, with the exception of still not being able to breath all that well. I just pray that tomorrow brings a better day. I am so behind with having to miss school the past two days and I am sure I will be missing tomorrow and Thursday as well since the doctor said I will be contagious for forty-eight hours and won't feel better for probably three days. I am just a little overwhelmed but I am determined not to let this set me back with my anxiety. I just want to feel better at this point so as soon as I start to feel a little better and know I am not going to die, I am sure the anxiety will ease up. Thanks for the support. I really needed it and I really appreciate it. ~Isabella~
