I am still doing the program too and i still find it is helping i see little improvements in my life appear and it makes me feel good to know that I am slowly regaining my life and my well-being. Keep me posted on how you are :) You can do this! -Diva

just want to say thank you for taking the time to reply to my post. I am working thru the course and am continuing to face situations and I am noticing very gradual improvement. I am still a way off airports but I will not stop trying. I am also realising that many people with this have had setbacks and I now think well maybe we are lucky because we have experienced learning to cope with situations we never deemed possible, so we know it is possible to get better. I hope things keep improving with yourself, good luck jamjar

Btw, have you tried doing exposure work in place that are somewhat like airports, like a giant superstore/warehouse kinda place where you can never find the aiske you need and it is always crowded with people buying in bulk? I mean if it is too expensive and complicated to do exposure in an actual airport maybe exposure in an airport -like place , a place that makes you fel the same for the same reason would help. The exposure might generalize from one environnement to the next if they are similar enough. Anyway, it is just a thought.... Sorry i couldn't be more helpful. -Diva

Hiya Jamjar, well i don't know about airports sp ,uch i usually don't get much travelling done, I usually don't go that far from home must admit. But about thinking you had this panic thing licked and having a setback, i just wanted to let you know you are not alone. I had a setback in december. I had gone for yours no attacks no meds and no more anxiety then the next person then all of a sudden boom! But I find that this time around, i know how to pick myself up faster and better then with the last setback. I have been dealing with this for over15 years now. Had plenty of wonderful runs. But once in a while life just overloads and you stumble a bit. The important thing is to just get back up brush yoursefl off and keep moving forward. I suggest you try the program here, It has really been helping me deal with this setback. It is really quite informative and helpful. Anyway, just wanted to say well, i can't relate to the airport thing exactly cause well i don't travel at all... But you are not alone in finding setbacks a bit boggling but I assure you there are ways to get over them :) Remember, this to shall pass! -Diva

Jam, This is great insight and you can progress and challenge those thoughts! Write out scenarios that can happen and use the program to begin challenging each and every one of them. Use the knowledge you gain to be confident and work through it step by step :) Josie ______________________________ The Panic Center Support Team.

Hi, I have read about alot of people who are afraid of flying, however I am ok on the plane, it's the airport, the crowds, the long corridors, the unknown (where or how far is the exit), I'm scared of not being able to control an impending panic attack long enough to make it to the exit, of not being able to find a safe place and just completely losing it, I actually feel safe of the plane. How can I expose myself to airports when you can't walk around them without a boarding card?! Atleast if it was the plane there are courses, but there are no courses for dealing with the actual airport and then you dont know what you are getting the other end! If I could be put on one of those little cars with a towel over my head I could do it!! I could handle being driven through the airport but walking just makes me terrified!! I used to be and airhostess about 15 years ago!, at that time I had over the years learnt to control my panic, but 2 and a 1/2 years ago it returned with avengance, I still wonder what happened to all that confidence and belief in my ability to ward off panic. This is a truly mind blowing illness. I thought I had conquered it, so what happened? Would be interested to hear from anyone who can relate to the above. Thanks for reading Julie
