Hi, I'm new to this board, but not to agoraphobia. I've had it for over 30 years. :(
At the time I began having panic attacks which led to agoraphobia, there was no such diagnosis as "panic disorder". By the time I started seeing a psychiatrist, I had already been housebound for 4 years.
ConquerQueen, your prognosis is much better than mine. With proper treatment and CBT, hopefully you will do much better than I.
I am a lot better than I was, but I still take meds daily, and my 'safe area' is small. With a safe person, however, I can go anywhere.
I advise prompt treatment, and wish you the best.
