You know, I meant to mention, the specialist says he doesn't know how it happens, it could happen to the other eye, but, it's ok, your sight doesn't change, a few headaches because of your brain figuring out your site, it does get better. Take care, I hope it helps.

Hi Jo :) I am sorry to hear you are having such a rough time. I read Mary's post and I think it is great that there is somebody who shares a similar experience with you. I just wanted to say hang in there and give yourself some slack. I think in times like these it is ok to be very emotionnal. I know I get very emotionnal in times like these! What I find helps a lot is doing relaxation techniques, deep breathing, positive visualization and just being particularly kind to myself :) Thought challenging is good too, helps not let the brain run with every scary thing :) Finally for the not eating, well I find eating often in very small portions is just easier :) Anyway, hope this helps. -Diva

Hi Jo, I just read your note and was very interested. I have one pupil that is bigger than my other pupil. In fact, it is my left eye. I freaked out about 3 years ago about this. My right eye is fine, it's just my left eye. I went to my doctor and she thought it was irisitis, but referred me to an opthomologist and he determined it was called "Adies Tonic Pupil". It when the nerves in the affected pupil are not working the same as the nerves in the normal eye. They dilate at different times. Sometimes my pupil is really big and others it's small. I don't know if it's that, but I know how and what you're going through. Let me know. Mary

Hi Diva, thanks for your post, I am going to see my own Doctor again but still havce to wait for appointment to see specialist, my left pupil seems to dilate for ages then gets small then dilates again does it all the time and everything I have looked up on the internet about it says about your brain so you can image what I am thinking, and yestterday I felt so tired and sicky all day I even had a little panic just came over really shakey and could not feel myself it was like my hands and arms were on magnets horrible so that upset me, I am very emotional at the moment me and my Husband always seem to have some kind of stress and I am really scared about this no-one seems to be able to help, the Doctor the other day had never come accross it so that did'nt help me, now I am getting really upset about it, feel sick and cannot eat much.

Hiya Jo, sorry i did not replu till now. I hope you are doing well. I just was wondering how you were doing and dealing with all this. Having been sick lately I know how hard it can be to worry about one's physical health... Anyway, hang in there and let us know how you are :) -Diva

Jo, Your doctor is the best authority to determine as to why you're pupils are unequal. Is there an alternative such as bringing someone with you to help make you feel more comfortable or having a home visit by your physician? Don't forget to employ your coping strategies and relaxation techniques to help you along. We hope it's nothing serious but better to be certain and have this issue resolved. Hi Everyone, this probably is'nt panic related but my left eye pupil has been dilated for about couple of months does go down in day then back up, everytime I look its dilated more than normal, I had my eyes tested at the beginning of the eye and everything was fine, I rang my optician today to ask the question and now I am terrified she said I have to see my Doctor it could be something serious, they will propbably refer me to hospital, tests etc, I went to the doctors last week for the first time in other a year and I thought I would be ok there but no I could'nt even sit there, I was in her room shaking like a leaf therefore made my bp rise, I am scared now as I always picture that I will have something wrong and end up on hospital and now I am scared. If anyone knows anything on why my pupil could be doing this please post, my vision is fine and I am not a headachey person either, I have done so well for a year now I am even driving the car which is huge for me.
