Hey Diva, Congratulations you did awesome. You planned ahead which I find helps so much. Even reading your post boy could I sympathize. A crowded room like that YIKES!!! Good on you.

Congradulations! I know these steps help add to our self esteem and confidence in fighting the fear! Every success is a reminser of how strong we are and that this is a battle we can win!

Hiya Danielle! Thanks for the tip. That's what I ended up doing. I sat at the back where there were few people and it really helped. I managed to stay for the whole graduation! And I didnèt take extra meds either. I was really happy with myself! Now I am finally home and really feeling proud. Plus it made the graduate really happy that I was there :)Was a tiring but good day :) -Diva

Hi Diva, You can do this! You've mastered your fears in lots of situations, now it's time to put them altogether. You may find sitting at the back or the very front may help with feeling hot, stuffy and overcrowded. Danielle, Bilingual Support Specialist

MAn, I have to go to a graduation. Not my own. At least if it was my own I wouldn't feel bad skipping the event lol. But I know it means a lot for this person that I show up for their graduation...So I decided to go. I hate graduations. You are stuck in this huge overcrowded room where it gets stuffy and too hot waiting for hours for them to call one's person's name... Not my best situation. Let's recount the reasons: 1- Big huge place I don't know 2- Crowd 3- Hot and stuffy 4- Way too much time to talk and focus on my very own private anxiety. I already warned the person I might leave before the end if I am feeling off but still, I would prefer to get through it. I thought of bringing my diary, MP3 player (with earphones) and a book. That would help keep me calm, But I figure that would also make me look rather rude... On top of it I am going to be alone most of the time...I think I might still bring my stuff and too bad what it looks like! I just don't want to be rude... Argh! Well, I am off to go do some relaxation lol and go shower so I am not late. I have to go in and hour and a half! I'll let you guys know how it went when I get back! -Diva
