Please don't forget that 1 study does not make it fact. There are many other factors that come into play like was the study well controlled? What other risk factors did those individuals have? The results are merely suggestion, not causal.
Don't let this article feed into your anxiety cycle. Time to start thought challenging!

The article was in our Toronto paper, The Globe and Mail, again today. If you go online you'll probably be able to find it. I think it was the British Medical Asoociation that published the results of a study that said that anxious men were 30% more likely to have a heart attack -- the only good part was that they said since anxiety can be treated there is reason for hope.
There are many ongoing studies. Check with your doctor to find out what is correct and what is not documented.

May I ask where you heard that? Did they give statistiques and such?
Anyway, I beleive if we exercise and take care of ourselves and eat well we will be ok. Plus, the more we learn to deal withour anxiety the less it would be a factor I would think. Anyway, was just wondering.

As if I didn't already have enough worries about my heart. I just heard on the news that they are now classifying anxiety as a major contributor to heart disease.
Some of the anxiety books and therapists say that panic disorder won't give y ou a heart attack, but now I wonder. Plus I've been having alot of skipped heartbeats over the past week.
Anybody else feel scared by this news?
