Diva, that's a really nice poem you found. Thanks for sharing. And congratulation on your new family member, cornish-dee. I imagine it as a new gift to your life. I hope all goes well with you in meeting your other mother. And remember that things will be ok. I always worry about dealing with people in this situation, because I don't want them to worry about me and I feel bad that I am not at my best. But surprisingly a lot of people will understand when you let them into your sufferings. They will not completely understand but it's nice to realize that people are considerate enough to let you just be. Some things that help me calm down are: going outside in the sunshine and looking at the clouds, listening to the birds and the trees dance in the wind, a good grip of the hand of your loved ones, or even looking at old photographs.

Hello Cornish-Dee, Sorry for the cut and paste job. I just wanted to share this proverb with you that I had posted a while back. It has helped me a lot when I am trying to take things one day at a time. For some reason it give me hope and solace. It is a sanscrit proverb about living in the present. Hope you like it. So here I go cutting and pasting!: "Ok i found it in french first and my capacity to translate french to english is really bad so bear with me it will not sound very poetic. But i just wanted to share it with you anyway, because the meaning is very beautiful. It is lucky this is not the sancrit original version or the translation would be entirely up to you lol. For those of you who speak french,I put the original version I found in here too. If you do not speak french well here goes: French version: Admire ce jour, Car il est la vie. La vie meme de la vie. Tout est la, dans sa courte duree: Toute la realite, toute la verite de l'existence, La felicite de la croissance, La splendeur de l'action, La gloire de la puissance... Car hier n'est qu'un reve Et demain n'est qu'une vision. Mais aujourd'hui, bien vecu, Fait de chaque hier un reve de bonheur Et de chaque demain un vision d'espoir. Donc, vis ce jour avec confiance. -Proverbe sanscrit. English version: Admire this day, For it is life. The very Life of Life. Everything is there in it's short duration: All the reality, all the truth of existence, The bliss of growth, The splendor of action, The glory of might... For yesterday is but a dream And tomorrow is but a vision. But today, well lived, Makes every yesterday a dream of happiness And every tomorrow a vision of hope. So, live this day with trust. -Sanscrit proverb. In the last line it might be: So, live this day with confidence. I wasn't sure. Anyway hope you enjoyed it! -Diva " Take care Dee and let us know how your family event went! -Diva

Cornish dee, Don't be too hard on yourself. It's just a setback, not a relapse. Certainly a big event going on in your house today. We hope it goes well! Danielle, Bilingual Health Educator

Dear Cornish-dee, God bless you girl! I wish I could give you a hug right now. I was just catching up on this posting, haven't been on in about a week. You are one strong women. You should be proud of yourself! I know we're all rooting for you and hope your visit is wonderful! I was taught a few slogans by some friends maybe you've heard them, Let go and let God, First things first, Progress not perfection, One day at a time. I remind myself when I'm overwhelmed these little phrases can give me some encouragement. How you can find moments of joy in today! :) Birdie

Cornish dee, Don't forget about your deep breathing & other relaxation techniques. Bringing your anxiety levels during the day may help to decrease the incidence of nocturnal panic attacks. Hang in there. Danielle, Bilingual Health Educator
