Hi Minnesota,

Do you spend much time together? Some individuals can't be physically intimate unless emotionally connected to the other. Maybe it is time for a romantic date night?

Again, as it has been mentioned, communication with your partner is key.

Good luck!

Hi Sylvia, I have tried, he says nothing is wrong, and I try to cuddle, I try to do all kinds of things, but he doesnt seem to respond.  Maybe its not me, maybe he just doesnt want to do anything, and its his issue, not mine.   He is very over weight, it doesnt bother me, but maybe it bothers him..!!!
I just try to keep in shape (hard with the meds, I feel like i'm swelling up) and look good for myself.

Hi ya Diva, I found your info very helpful, thanks, I just assumed men wanted sex all the time,
hehe..bit  sexist!! but you see it all around us,  probably half the people on my street dont have sex all the time..just the ones with the babies!!! I never thought that it could be that it could be a myth.:)

Hiya,

In my relationship I am the one who has trouble with physical intimacy and I have found that communication though really is the key here. We talk alot about things so I can reassure him that it is me and not him. You know, that this really comes from my issues. Of curse I am a cuddler and all, I am mostly talking about  well let's just be candid, sex.

I must add tho, that a friend who is very close to me has admitted to me that her husband just isn't having sex with her. And at first she was really freaked out. Then she did some reading and realize that the whole idea that all men want sex is a myth. Some men just don't have much sex dirve the same as some women don't either. It really had nothing to do with how beautifuk or sexy she was, he just didn't want any sex period. They talked and from what I gather it helped. I don't have that many details tho since well I try not to be nosy. Lol.

Anyway, I would tend to think that discussin things openly would be a good first step.

Sorry I could not be more helpful.

Hi Minnesota,   Have you tried being open with your husband about the way you feel? Have you told him that intimicy is important to you. He may not be aware of the way you feel.     Sylvie, Bilingual Health Educator

Hi everyone,
I"m not one to talk about intimacy and all with the hubby, but I find in here I can pretty much say anything
and everyone is supportive.  I've been married 5 years now, and my hubby, who I love very much, doesnt like
getting intimate.  When we watch tv I try to cuddle. He says he is tired, or uncomfortable, or too hot or too cold.
I just want to cuddle, i'm not asking for a roll in the hay!!!! We havent had sex in quite a while.  When we go to bed
he says "the bed is for sleeping' and he is snoring in a second.  With the meds I know the drive is not as much
and it takes a bit longer for everything to happen, but kissing and cuddling is still important to me.
I keep asking him, if i'm not attractive to him anymore, and he says of course I am attractive, and all that.
I get anxious and think maybe i'm getting old and i'm not appealing anymore.  I just turned 45 and he is 35 ( go me)
I have a good figure, ( i think) ...well now that i've embarrased myself..:) any ideas?
