Hi Karla,   Have you started working through the program yet? If so, how are you finding it?   Members, please share any thoughts on how to achieve a more positive mind frame - have you used any techniques that you found useful?         Faryal, Health Educator

Thanks, Momma Dee!  When I wrote it my brain jiggled and I lost what I was thinking...I sometimes hate those moments...especially when people act all confounded and I can't tell if what I said was inspirational or just special helmet, yellow bus riding retarded.

Yup Dee, and I'm ok with waiting.  Just pray I don't have to wait until I can't have kids!

I don't mind the CF so much, just gotta work with it.  We can't change who we are, but we can decide what we apply who we are to...if that makes sense...

She's out there Joe , you'll know when .

Um i am a complete control freak , but not a nasty one . It comes from having to do everything around the place , even before i was married and had my own children i looked after all my siblings . Being a CF , isnt always a bad thing . I think hmmmmm

Aha, I hear you Gene.  I recently came to the conclusion I'm a control freak.  Realized I wanted everything to happen in a certain way, when really the universe revolves around the sun, not me.

And I hear you about commitment.  There's a reason I'm single.  I've botched some great relationships because I couldn't handle being with that one particular person for one reason or another...so I've trimmed down my previous pre-requisites to: just as long as we're are faithful, and love each other....but still waiting on that "special" girl.  High hopes for a great learning experience.

LOL. I never realised until the PAs began that I am a control freak! My therapist actually pointed it out to me when I had PAs while he was trying to hypnotise me but when I did a self-relaxation technique I was fine. I didn't want him to control my healing process!

Much introspection has also made me realsise that I hate commitment! Getting married to my wife was easy as I have always known that we were meant for one another but signing any contract causes me great anxiety. Buying a car, signing a lease agreement or a job contract really freaks me out.

I hear you both, Miki and Gene.  Miki:  I always ask myself, what if this is one of those moments I'm supposed to soldier through it?  Answer:  I don't know, it's a learning process that I have to try with each.  Some losses are bigger then others, but some gains are also greater then losses.  Risk is a funny thing, but I'm willing to take it for a ride.

Gene:  I hate control!  I want it so much, but the more I want it, it seems the less I have.  Now I try to control only certain things that feel right, but just like what I said above, it's a game of risk.  Ride it!

I used to be so good at the letting go part... but now something's always asking me "Are you sure you want to let it go??"
