This is the first time I've heard coughing as an anxious reaction. Interesting indeed. I too wonder if you should see a doctor to rule out anything physical. Practice relaxation techniques....meditation works best for me and I've become a real advocate. Good luck and happy holidays. Keep sharing!
Have you talked to your doctor about this? If might be a good idea to look into the matter. Also, try working through the program. You will find it to be a big help.

Hi Guys, I am in a job that I do not like and people are not nice so I have started to get anxious feeling again which I have not had for ages, but I have a nervous cough and an cough constantly when nervous so you can guess how much I am coughing at the moment welll my chest hurt last week down near my boobies bone felt sore so thought ok muscle from coughing not had before but then I have coughed so much the past few months none stop all day and also am very tense, well the coughing seems to be calmer nowadays but I cycle to work as well so often find in the mornings after the ride up the hills I am bit chesty loose cough a little bit which is normal from exercise well today I coughed and I also take a lot of deep breathes a nervous thing again so between taking a deep breathe then coughing something just went an started to hurt in my chest it has hurt all day so I am worried about my heart when I take a deep breathe it hurts almost between your boobs and the bone feels a little tenden so I am now taking more deep breathes which hurts as I am anxious as it has really hurt all day, I can feel it all the time. This anxious stuff you go round in cycles.
