Congratulations on your book. I am sure it is a true labor of love. I look forward to taking a look at it on your web site.
Sunny,
I am also feeling Fall coming and am looking forward to it. I love all the fall colors and the crisp air. I crocheted a afghan in fall colors many years ago. I have a quilt all cut out and ready to piece together in the fall colors. I look forward to learning how to put it all together and want to work on it over the next few months. Like you I have been doing some organizing around the house lately. Now that the weather is starting to cool down. Nesting, that is a perfect word for it. I am finally getting comfortable and nesting. I sure like it. Have fun with your spring cleaning and organizing.
Good morning Davit: I've been thinking of her too. I kinda miss her and hope she comes back and lets us know how she is doing, what's new.
Editing and proofreading, quite a job from what I've heard. My daughter used to be in editing and proofreading articles for newspaper. Can't wait to read it. But we on this site are lucky, we hear directly from you! Nice that Tracy will help.
I need to go gardening. I don't feel like it, I think i"ll put it off another day - lol. Deadheading time has come, no urgency in deadheading. Since I was sick this spring, I didn't really do any springcleaning. I feel like cleaning and organizing closets. Imagine that! Must be the nesting instinct with the cooler weather approaching. lol
It is only 31 pages and a little over 16000 words. The tough part was proof reading and getting every thing in order but it is a work of love and I enjoyed doing it. If Tracy doesn't leave me too many corrections I'll print it off so I can't lose it. I don't think I would want to do it again. It is in my web site but I need to up date it as I added on to it.
I wonder where anerol is. And how anerol is. I see other people visiting but not saying hi. Hope they are okay.
Hi Cleo: Yes, I wondered where you were too. Good to hear from you. Hope all is going well for you. I know what you mean about hugging a baby, it's our maternal instinct or something. Of course, that's one cute kid.
Davit: Congratulations on finishing your book! I'm impressed, you must've have worked night and day. Very happy for you.
We are born happy, it is life that messes us up. I am almost as cute as your dog. And at that age probably just as happy. I eventually learned to play the harmonica a bit, but I have poor tone recognition, or separation or what it takes to be real good at it. Can't be good at every thing. I was missing you and worried about you when you were not here. I was hoping we had not lost you.
Thank you for the push, I finished my book and I will see if Tracy will check it for accuracy before I print it off.
I went with this printer because it uses separate ink colour cartridges and scans and photo copies. But I do have to re stack the printed pages and and put them back in the drawer, just not one at a time. I also have to have two print files, one for back side and one for front. Once it starts printing I can do something else till it is done. I found a lot of minor mistakes when re reading, mostly missed commas or spaces. The odd word spelled wrong, spell check can only do so much. Like wether and whether and weather. One is a sheep.
Davit: oh phooey! I remember when I had the old printer when I wanted to print pages both sides, I had to manually reinsert the paper back - upsidedown, or backwards, can't remember which, but I got it wrong several times and the printing would either end up on top of the printed side or upsidedown the other. Got a new printer which with the push of a button does all that for me now. lol You're a patient man!
Well I didn't need another hobby right at the moment but I had a lot of information and ideas I wanted to put down. Seems I had more than I thought. I spent all day editing and putting it in two separate files so I can print on both sides of the page. I had it all set up and printed it out only to find a mistake in the title on each page. Poooo. Had to redo it all. The files are non editable. I think it is right now but I have to read through it slowly to check for errors again before I print it. It has been fun but very time consuming.
