I am starting to feel better and you are right if at the end of the day its an overall good day then I should put it in the good column. I am glad to know its normal to still be feeling panic during the day and that eventually it will lessen even more. Today was the first time that I tried to eat with a bunch of strangers while out. It was a little of a struggle but overall I did it and was happy.

Wow, you are doing good. Emotions are normal, a person with out them is a vegetable. Panic is normal as is acceptance of it is normal. Trying to be totally panic free might lead to an attack. The thing is how you feel at the end of the day. Can you say honestly that you had a good day despite some anxiety or panic. That is the goal. If you can, then a little panic in your day will soon fade to where it happens but doesn't bother you. We all get thrown an unexpected curve once in a while, accepting it as normal and rolling with it keeps it from becoming an attack. Even if you get the odd attack, accepting it as part of the healing process speeds up the healing.
Thanks Sunny! :) I am happy I have made it through one day, then another and now a third. I am slowly gaining some confidence. My day today was really good. Then we needed to take my stepson to the er and that gave me some anxiety. I am trying to work with it and stay positive and focus on the good day I had. I get a little nervous sometimes though that I won't have a day that doesn't have some panic in it. Maybe I need to practice ridding myself of these negative thoughts but sometimes they creep back. Thank you for encouraging me and being so supportive.

Hi Summer7: Good for you. If you did it once, you can do it twice and so on. Your confidence will build from positive experiences. See? You can entertain yourself, distract yourself, or work at something. You did it! Everything you need is in you - positive thoughts and positive actions.
You realize you had a good day and then one not so good. That is just you looking for the negative that should have been there yesterday. The truth is except for this you had two good days. Tomorrow is your choice. If you look at it as two good days except for your looking for something negative then you should be able to make it three and so on. If you can't then let it slide knowing that you proved you can do it and tomorrow is another day. Distractions are good anytime. As are congratulations. So congratulations, and know we are here waiting to see how you are doing praying and cheering for you. Good or bad we are here for you.

The rest of my day yesterday went good. I was happy that I made it through the day. I didn't want to get too excited though because I had to do it again today. And today I had to drive myself to teach spanish after school. I was nervous. I did it though but I was uncomfortable the whole time. So I'm fairly happy with the day. I did start to have some panic this morning while I was alone. I decided to bake a cake to distract myself. I think tomorrow I will try the picture. Thank you so much for your help and ideas. Also thank you for checking to see how I did. I hope these activities will soon get easier for me and I will be less apprehensive about them.

Hi Sunny, I thought I did pretty good too..yup, I was blindfolded..even my son did it..we laughed...oh,clay...now that'd be even more fun. Maybe after my art course I'll take a course with clay.
