Three years ago I got tinnitus and it is an overwhelming experience at that time. I got a trauma because of tinnitus and it took an year to conquer this trauma. Tinnitus could be caused by numerous factors and as Ashley suggested it is necessary to consult an health care professional.
In my case tinnitus was due to loud noises because if riding a bicycle (harley-davidson) without using ear plugs protection and I have some suspects that the panic disorder help a lit also for the development of tinnitus. What had helped with tinnitus was a wonderful online support group that I joined at that time.
Welcome to the group. If you are concerned about this symptom it is best to see a doctor for a proper diagnoses. Ringing of the ears (Tinnitus) can be caused by a number of things. In most cases it is related to loud sounds or listening to music too loudly with headphones. However you do state that you are not exposed to any loud sounds prior to experiencing this symptom. People with anxiety can also experience ringing of the ears as a symptom of anxiety. It also could be a side effect of medication, be related to ear infections, allergies and/or hearing loss. Again, if you are concerned it is best to see a health care professional.
If the ringing of the ears is a symptom of anxiety this program can help with managing the anxiety which in turn will reduce the symptom. Begin working on the program. For some immediate relief while trying to sleep take a look on the auxiliary session on Relaxation Techniques.
Sometimes when its really quiet - like when in bed or just a very quiet room i can hear my ears ringing a bit - even though i haven't had any been near/listened to anything noisy prior to this.
Does anyone else notice the same thing? Is it anxiety related?
I don' think I have an ear issue as such, but get anxious about things like this. I find it really worrying because you can't get away from something like that because its in your head as such.
Just looking to see if this is common on how others deal with it.
Looking for suggestions and positive feedback. thank you.
