We always thought that our parents were devastated to see us move out of the house...I can now see them secretly celebrating their new-found freedom!
Bren, it sounds like you were able to tackle the daunting task of 'spring cleaning' with relative ease and it's always nice to bring in new flowers (new life!) into the home.

It's good to see them grow up and make a live for themselves...even though I do miss him as he has moved a long ways away to get work...They have to go where the work is nowadays and can't always live near like we were able to do in our day.
Hi Bren: Congratulations on teaching your little bird to fly. I can relate. When my last one left for college, I made her bedroom into a computer and sewing room. Couldn't wait for the extra space and she laughed, thought it was a great idea, didn't mind at all. I still had lots of her things boxed and as she settled, I gave them to her to do with as she pleased.
I like that "good tired" feeling. Kind of makes you feel like you accomplished something.
