Hugs

Thank you. The hydromorphone I'm taking for pain is helping with the shock. Still it is hard to believe. This is a very strong opiate so I might sleep for a few days. I know I'm having trouble thinking and typing. Of course it is only five in the morning on this side of the continent.

Yes. Thank you for your concern, it is appreciated. I don't know if there is a crack in the bone or if it is torn muscles. No x-rays unless it gets worse. I broke it a couple of years ago and it still has the pins in it. I have some Hydromorphone for the pain and I will take it easy for the next few days. I'm a bit impaired and having trouble concentrating.
On a sadder note, a friend of mine had a heart attack and died. He had one a few years back and they did some major repairs. He was still smoking and mixing alcohol and T3s for pain. Still it is a shock. We were going to cut wood together next week. After years of pain he had just got his back repaired and was happy. The body will only take so much abuse.

I thought I would drop in real quick and say hello this afternoon..With a little update..

I have been doing a lot of exposure the last few weeks outside of my home. I was getting pretty tired from it all yesterday afternoon and this morning..So I took my vitamins this morning and all is well again..I am really surprised at how fast I bounced back this time..
I am going to sign out of the forum for the weekend early this week. I have lots and lots to do..I have a fabric exchange coming up in my quilting class next Tuesday and jury duty on Thursday..So I am planing and getting a head start on my projects..I have done all of the work exposure shopping for fabrics and now I working on getting the fabric ready for the exchange..This involves many steps. Selecting the fabrics, prewashing, drying, pressing and starching the fabric and then cutting the fabric into forty 10" perfect squares, which I will be taking to my class and exchanging them with other classmates..These squares will later be utilized in the formation of quilts block which will later be used to complete a quilt..It takes time and patience.

This whole process reminds me of how I worked the cbt program..With planned exposure and in small steps..Kind of like making a quilt..and just like a quilt the reward is priceless..

Keep working the  program  everyone and you will get there..

p.s.
Davit sorry to hear about your hip. I hope you are letting yourself rest today, tomarrow and all of this weekend..
So that you can get well soon..

Hi:  Just to say these roses - floribunda - are Daisy's roses.  The other pic were Charlie's roses, a floribunda too.  I have tea and hybrid roses in the circle garden also.
Everything is blooming beautifully, the delphiniums, the lilies, the Shastas, Echincea are starting, the Evening Primrose, the coral bells, Astilbe, Centaurea, and on and on.  Makes me happy to see the garden in full bloom.

Hello Vincenza,

This is a tough question to answer in one word or sentence..
I think the main thing for me in learning to relax, was breaking the cycle of anxiety and panic..I became so accustomed to being in a state of anxiety and panic for so many years that when I started to relax or get a little comfortable I would automatically  start to think something was wrong and the anxious and negative thoughts would automatically start flooding in again.
Learning to challenge these anxious and negative thoughts with the help of the program was the beginning of my recovery..
This is what helped me break the vicious cycle and I learned in time that it was ok to relax and I started to get comfortable with the idea. Over the last few weeks I have been able to let myself relax and get comfortable again...Relaxing and being comfortable is now becoming a natural thing for me and a very positive automatic response..
