Vincenza, yes to the chocolate, spicy (chips) and tomatoes.
I eat dark chocolate. The highest percentage of cocoa possible. We do eat tomatoes in salads and I did have spciy tortilla chips. All three are of the organic variety.
Sunny, and Debora, I will try the cheetos. The problem I have feels like heart palpitations, but I do believe it's a gas issue. I will burp and it feels better for s short while. I had it most of the day. I am going to call the doctor tomorrow to see what he suggests. I bought Acid Sooth. It's a natrural product with papaya, marshmallow root and other enzymes. I also bought ginger and aloe juice. I hope it goes away. I do like most of what Lexapro has helped me with.
Hi W: I was thinking the same thing, since you've been upped on the Lexapro. I had nausea the first two wks. or so when starting up and maybe that's what's happening again. Hope it passes for you.
I bought some ginger capsules and some crystalized ginger from Whole Foods. They have helped me in the past. I also am going to buy some aloe juice tomorrow. I ran out a couple of weeks ago, and sometimes I just forget what works, after I run out. Aloe really helps the digestive system.
I think I know why I had this reoccurance. It's just a little over 2 weeks since my dose was upped from 10 to 20 mg. I just hope it eventually eases. I have had this symptom also from Elavil.
I'll have to try the Cheetos thing. I think you mentioned it in another thread.
I just read you're post Wrestler and I so feel for you, I know that queasy acid heartburn feeling all too well! In fact I had it all last night and most of today, I think it kept me from sleeping, I ate a small piece of barbeque chicken, and I paid for it!
I was on lexapro about five years ago and I did have nausea from it, but all the antidepressants did that too me. What helped me is, believe it or not is "Cheeto's" the hard kind not the puffs, when I was pregnant with my child I had horrible brutal nausea and my OB-GYN told me to eat those and it helped! Also ginger ale or flat coke, spicy foods will do that to you too, I know, I love spicy food, but since my panic came back I cannot eat them, I hope it goes away for you soon, my Aunt takes half a malox when she gets this she says and it helps her, sometimes its hard to tell what is the medication or the disorder? I wish you well.
Has anyone had nausea or heartburn from Lexapro. The heartburn I am describing is indigestion. I keep repeating, meaning, it's kind of like a burp or the urge to burp or like a heart palpitation. That's only the description. I used to get this from Chinese food that had thick sauce.
It has really helped my anxiety and panic, and other symptoms from not taking it, but the burp sensation is annoying.
